Cumbrae to Largs charity swim
Swimmers cross the 1.7-mile channel from Cumbrae to Largs in aid of Race Against Dementia — a swim John Burleigh has organised since 2006. Registration at Cairnie's Quay from 11:00, then the 12:30 ferry over; the swim starts at 13:00 from the old Cumbrae Watersports Centre and everyone is out of the water by 15:00. Free to watch from the shore.
